uday ranga posted this photo L V Udaya Ranga Amidst this ferocious pace of city life, there grew a void, devoid of mobility!
This emptiness is very apparent in today's lifestyle, where everyone is always missing something, whist moving at staggering pace! | Ankita likes this |
Arjun Kamath posted this photo ArjunKamath-Lifeline-Bangalore Cityscape: Resembles the lung of a chain smoker. Almost. The Bengalooru Cityscape: Resembles the lung of a chain smoker.
This picture was clicked on Sarjapur Main Road. Humid, dusty, smoky and murky it gives us the impression of this futuristic concrete jungle. Murky because of the grey sky that blankets it, thanks to all the pollution our vehicles emit. I caught this man smoking amidst all the heat and pollution. The interesting backdrop made me click this picture. Life in this picture seems mechanical and robotic. Almost like a dead rat in the stomach of a dead cat. Like a maze within a maze. A test for who survives longer, the city or the people that reside in it.

Our very own Bengalooru, which we fondly call as 'The Garden City of India' has transformed into a graveyard of sorts. The grave yard that has everything else besides greenery. What greenery, one may very well ask. Cement, jelly stones, tar, high rise buildings and unmanageable traffic have replaced green blades of grass and the shady trees that once adorned Bangalore. Mobile phones have become as important as life giving Oxygen and that is not one bit encouraging. As the buildings get higher, we must all realize. Realize that the falling down from up there is only going to get that much harder.

Vijay Alphonse posted this photo Vijay Alphonse - Bengaluru twilight traditions The little one shares a light moment with her ajji as she waits for her first customer as the modest vegetable store crackles to life at twilight. Many working Bengalooreans buy their groceries from the likes of Laxmi around Marathahalli on their way home.
